From Paris, With Love

Septiembre 10, 2026

Bonjour Beautiful Sparkling Circle,

How are you, dear souls? How are your hands and hearts? Dancing well?

I returned from an unexpected, remarkable trip to Paris a week ago, and while I couldn’t wait to tell you all about it, I’ve been surprisingly upside down since my return. Was it jet lag?

Long ago, I’d heard that when traveling at high speed in a metal tube for thousands of miles, we leave bits of ourselves in the jet stream, and it may take time for this collection of matter called Jane to catch up. No idea if that’s true, but a cartoon running on a loop when I think of it suggests I could possibly collect the over-sized baggage of my brain after customs near the big, red rabbit. Or leave it in Lost & Found. Leap anew!

Funnily enough, Lunes night, when I spoke to our TADAH group (The Awakened Dancing Hands group), others shared that they, too, were sleeping this week as much as we did in high school. So, I’m not alone. Is it that we are so connected that we’re not only tapping into Source Energy and the Oneness, but also having a collective growth spurt requiring more rest? Maybe.

Maybe the wavy way in the 3D future asks greater diligence over all things we traverse or ingest. When I ski at the higher altitudes, I always need more fuel—heartier food, jugs of more water, and rest. Is it the same when I fly through a rapidly changing world? Hmm…

In our Conversations with Source course, through the gift of the Language of Love pouring through me, Source said it would be especially helpful to meet the coming days with much greater spiritual athleticism. What primes or fuels a spiritual athlete? What builds the muscles of the spirit and keeps everything holding us flexible, in dynamic ease, and focused for managing every bit of this route of life, no matter the head or tailwinds?

For me, it’s one part intentional, and the other part keeping open to Source filling in the blanks beyond my imagining. Just a few weeks ago, I returned peaceful and happy from my time at our ancient family cabin beside the lake with my eldest daughter, Ruby. Refreshed, my heart whispered I am tired of being tired. I love and am grateful for all our work, and I also declared I had to create more space for fun. I intended Source to show me a clear way where I could meet the busy days ahead with balance.

Not three days later, I got a text from my longest-standing friend. For 48 years, I’ve been game for any adventure that included the French sisters, my nearest neighbors, Margie and Judy French —and it had been ages since we’d talked because Margie was on a retreat and then, was busy shooting her film in Paris. Ha! After all the French jokes with French’s Mustard and French fries as a kid, guess what she texted?

Want to come to Paris next week, the day after I wrap?”

Two hours earlier, before the text, I had moved my appointments around—literally cleared my schedule for the entire week to focus on long-delayed work and chores, but like a dinner bell ringing in my head, Source had delivered my intention, hot and fresh to the table.

“Let me check flights,” I texted back. Unsurprisingly, the prices had just dropped significantly. “and I have to check with Violet, because I can’t come to Europe without seeing her.”

“Of course.” How could I see her smiling as she texted?

Violet was unsurprisingly, well aware of the invitation. “Auntie already invited me, too, Mum.”

“Bien sûr,” I texted in my best French accent. “I suppose you’ll need to ask your boss to get some time off from work.”

“Bien sûr,” she replied.

Within minutes, Violet emailed me a very formal letter asking for time off to go to Paris, saying, on a lark, her mother was coming to town and she needed to go film her Dancing Hands.

And of course, I replied, “Bien sûr.” Those larks…

Now, why would Source send me to Paris? Maybe because after my last trip there, I’d emphatically stated I’d not return to Paris without going with girlfriends or family, Now both were there? Nothing is random in this world for me. Still, why Paris?

A few days ago, I wrote about what I’ve gleaned about returning to Paris and Notre Dame for a short reel, which now sits on my Instagram and Facebook . If you’re not with me there on these two pages, give me a quick like and follow, and over the next week, you’ll see loads more pictures and chats. Holy waters seem to be bubbling up now like a spring. And experiencing Mass in French and Latin was nothing short of incredibly moving! I trust I’ll be back.

The last two times I’d visited Notre Dame, I’d not been able to enter because of the repairs from the 2019 fire they’d been doing on the cathedral. I was so disappointed because the first time I’d travelled to Paris, I sadly didn’t even have time to light a candle inside. Somehow, an old beau had shown up at a cafe in the shade of Notre Dame with a Perrier and 15 minutes to chat. All I could remember were the bubbles of this kind soul as I stared up at the gargoyles protecting the cathedral built for Mother Mary, Notre Dame, Our Lady of Paris.

Isn’t it interesting that gargoyles are one of the few things that show up for me as a potentially “scarier” sight? Eleven years ago, when the Dancing Hands came, I asked that if I’m to do this work, that I wouldn’t be shown anything that would make me afraid or steal my focus for the best and highest good. So somehow, Source gave me the sometimes comical gremlin faces one sees around a church when I have met clients with multiple personalities or hitchhiker entities. This helps me see that these “gargoyles” are not mean by nature, anymore than the stone mason who crafted the ones on the church. They put on a big mask to appear scarier than they are to try and frighten others from getting too close to souls they love. So I offer a toast to our better gargoyles and even better, truer angels in hopes they, too, are also doing their best. Mayo we integrate with all the ways all beings show up to live a happiest, healthiest life.

There is so much more to share, but if you can tap into the spirit of the holy Mother or divine feminine for which this magnificent cathedral was built, you may also better understand how I was called to this place — the fulcrum of prayer for better times. The Divine Mother often comes when I dance, bringing compassion and deep nurturing. Her essence lives on within many of us, especially as we reach out to one another in these tender times.

The Cathedral of Notre Dame is “a testament to human creativity and spiritual yearning… Notre-Dame de Paris will continue to fascinate and inspire generations to come.” She has survived war, rebellion, and fire. Paris has rebuilt for better times. What a magnificent structure to remind us all that we can rebuild our world to inspire all souls to live in beautiful integrity, communion, and compassion.

Speaking of helpful structure… You are invited to join me next week, Septiembre 16, 17, and 18th for our expanded Quanta Circle. Three nights online in gracious and supportive community of Dancing Hands that travels far beyond. out six hours of spiritual and heart altitude adjustments. Talk about Spiritual athletes on their paths!

“I felt so incredibly seen and moved to tears last night. At one point, I had to stop dancing because I was completely mesmerized, looking into Jane’s eyes and seeing Source shining through so clearly. Time completely bent, and I just slid into deep, radiant love.” ~t.b.

We all need love these days. We all need to share more, too.

With this, I add my special prayers to all our ohana and friends in the Hawaiian Islands—particularly Kaua’i and Hawai’i Island, who were hard hit are doing their very best to recover from tremendous hurricanes within mere weeks of one another. So many have lost so much. Please share where you can.

I would also like to add a special community corner below from time to time to help support our global and local communities. While I”m not posting faces, I think it’s helpful to get to know one another and do a more intimate support some of the dears in our many Dancing Hands groups. Two women below would especially love our prayers and support. See the Community Corner for more and thank you for helping the world where you can.

Please also know you are invited to join more of our group in person with our Dancing Hands and Body Vida Soul Dancing with Elissa Shapiro, Oct. 22-25.

We have only a few spaces left on this powerful retreat dancing on 1200 beautiful acres of sacred Yes, so please sign up to join us asap. More details on the poster below.

Can’t come to our retreat, but want to meet up in Texas? We will be having a post-retreat circle Lunes night in Austin, TX, Oct. 26. Elissa just booked the space. Details coming! Save the Date.

I look forward to dancing with you again soon. Merci beaucoup, mes amis, for reading or listening.

À bientôt, mes chers. Have a bonne nuit, or bonjour?

Bendiciones, amor y cielos azules,
